If your lock is damaged you could try to either repair the lock yourself or replace the lock, which is usually easier. If you have lost your keys the only option is usually to replace the lock, but this is much trickier with no keys. If you do not fancy the headache, get in touch today and book an appointment.
We prioritise emergencies, so once you call, we will be there as soon as possible, usually around 30 minutes. Our group offers a prompt, affordable and secure service.
Most locks, especially euro cylinders, can be unlocked using a variety of methods including picking and bumping the lock. There are also other possibilities such as hooking and fishing. These methods are not always adequate, but we will always try non-destructive techniques first.
Lock snapping is a burglary technique that has recently gained a lot of attention. It entails physically snapping a euro cylinder to obtain admission to a building. This technique is often used on cylinders which are sticking out of the door. Euro cylinders with higher security ratings often have features built in to stop locks from being snapped.
A lock might be purchased from a DIY store and installed by the customer, although this could be dangerous. Without experience, you run the risk of breaking it and having to replace it again, or making your house an easy target for burglars by using a low quality lock or a lock which does not fit correctly. RN Locksmiths provides a quick, cost-effective solution.
